Which Would We Buy?
The Ui12 and Ui16 are basically the same minus the increased inputs, whereas the Ui24R is a more advanced system with updated EQs. So, it may surprise you, but we would go with the Ui12 or Ui16 with the specific choice depending on how many inputs the install needed.
Why? Because there is no alternative at that price that can deliver what the Ui12 can. Its streamlined, so it will not provide all the features a pro audio engineer may desire, but it sounds great and is easy to use. They are perfect for schools where the need is simple audio, and the operator isn’t a sound engineer. So think a gym for assemblies, or a small band.
Also for your consideration, at the same price as the Ui24R, Allen & Heath’s QU-SB.
